DC CityGirl is dedicated to all things hip, eye-catching and noteworthy in our fair city and its environs. If I like it, I write about it. If not, then...well, you get the idea. No tragically hip, I'm-too-sexy- for-this-city, poopy-faced reviews here. This website is all love; love for fashion, love for food, love for products, events and venues but most of all love for my city.
DC is a unique city filled with contradicting claims to fame. Government and Go-Go music. Monuments and Mumbo Sauce. Seriously. But it's my home and I love it dearly. DC is currently in something of a Golden Age. As I sashay along my favorite streets, more and more DC is starting to look less like the sleepy, quasi-Southern town that I knew it to be in my childhood and more like a chic, cosmopolitan metropolis befitting its title as the Nation's Capital. With all of this change, someone has chronicle the highlights. So, why not me?

My name is Shauntice Rodriguez and I am a writer. I could give you a list of publications I have written for and whatever credentials one must possess to give her opinion nowadays but I think that speaks more to what I have done and less to who I am and where I am going, which I think is more important. I have lived in Washington DC all of my life. In that time, I have dined, drank, shopped and partied my way across DC's 33 square miles 100 times over. DC is a veritable wonderland of modern entertainment. Stick with me and I'll show you how deep the rabbit hole goes...
